H1N1 FLU PREPAREDNESS
October 28 UPDATE: Faculty and staff who are absent due to the H1N1 flu or who have flu-like symptoms will not be required to supply a doctor's note or medical certificate in relation to their absence unless there are exceptional circumstances.

The Faculty of Physical Education & Health and all of our programs – including academic programs, drop-in and registered fitness, intramural and intercollegiate athletics, and Junior Blues programs – are running normally.

What You Can Do To Help
Staff and faculty with infuenza-like illness should stay home until they no longer have a fever and are feeling well.
The common symptoms of influenza are:
- Fever
- Headache
- Cough
- Muscle aches
- Sore throat
- Weakness/fatigue
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Chills
To help prevent the transmission of the flu, make sure that you:
- Wash and sanitize your hands frequently
- Stay home if you feel ill
- Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your sleeve
