Academic Success Centre
The Academic Success Centre at U of T offers a series of educational lectures & seminars focusing on improving your time management, studying, reading, note taking, test taking, and stress management skills. ASC also offers a resource library and drop in centre staffed by a learning skills counsellor. Details are available at the Academic Success Centre web site.
Writing Resources
The University of Toronto has developed a number of academic writing resources to assist undergraduate students from all disciplines with their writing skills. All of these resources are referenced at the Writing at the University of Toronto web site. This website contains useful advice on all aspects of academic writing including critical reading skills, proper referencing, and editing skills. Health Sciences Writing Centre
The Health Sciences Writing Centre at U of T is available to all registered undergraduate FPEH students. Experienced writing instructors work with students in a forty- five minute, one on one session. Be sure to book appointments early as this service is very popular. FPEH Undergraduate Student Computer Lab
All registered FPEH students have access to the undergraduate computer lab in room BN 330. A valid UTORid is required and log-in instructions are available at the lab. By using the computer lab students expressly agree to know, understand, and will abide by all of the rules, regulations, and policies governing its use. A valid T-Card to required print from the computers at a cost of 10 cents per page. Students can add cash to their T-Card at the first floor of Robarts Library.
Libraries
The University of Toronto has the third largest library collection in North America. The library system carries books, periodicals (newspapers, magazines and academic journals), maps, videos and film, sound recordings, musical scores, images, data files, government publications, microfilms, theses, manuscripts and more. Accessibility Services
Support services are available for students with a documented disability. The disability can be physical, sensory, learning related, or a mental health disorder. Students with temporary disabilities (e.g. broken arm) are also eligible for the service. Students who qualify for this service are urged to make an appointment with an intake counsellor early in the summer. Details are available on the Accessibility Services web site.
