Course Add Deadline

The deadline to add 'F' & 'Y' section code academic courses on ROSI is September 21st , 2008.  Please log onto ROSI to verify you have added yourself into your desired first term course load before the deadline.

Health & Dental Plans

All students registered in the FPEH undergraduate program receive health & dental coverage plans through the payment of incidental fees to the student organizations that offer the plans.

Part-time undergraduate students should refer to the APUS website for details of their coverage under the APUS plan.

Opting Out

If you already have coverage through your place of employment, or are covered under the plan of a parent or spouse, you are eligible to opt-out of the health portion of the plan. Any student may opt-out of the dental portion of the plan.  The deadline for students to opt out is October 10th, 2008.  For details about opting out, click on the 'Opt-Out' button on ROSI or visit the links below:

WHAT?
A Series of FREE practical and hands-on workshops to assist students and staff (of the FPEH) learn more about leadership in an athletic and recreation environment; how to make a difference by becoming more involved in governance; building healthy networks and be an advocate through community involvement in sports, health and recreation; how to recognize and understand differences and be more inclusive; how to communicate more effectively; build dynamic teams; and be a more confident speaker.

The Ontario Textbook and Technology Grant

The Ontario government is offering a new, annual grant to help full-time university students pay for textbooks and computer costs. The Textbook and Technology Grant is available to full-time students attending a university in Ontario. In the 2008-09 academic year, the grant is $150. The annual grant will increase to $300 per year when fully implemented. To be eligible, you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or a protected person. For more details on eligibility, visit the OSAP website.

Full-time university students who apply for OSAP for 2008-09 will automatically be considered for the grant. If you are an eligible full-time student who is not receiving OSAP, you will need to complete a short online application for the Textbook and Technology Grant. To apply, visit the ROSI website.

If you are studying for one term only, you must submit your application within the first 30 days of your study period. If you are studying for two or three terms, you must apply no later than 90 days before the end of your study period.
