Enrollment
Refer to the academic timetable for course offerings.  Enrolment in FPEH academic courses will commence on July 8th, 2008, at 6:00 a.m. Enrollment in Arts & Science courses will commence on August 13th, 2008 at 6:00 a.m.

Careful degree planning and enrollment prioritizing is important.  To help you select PHE options a binder of the most recent course outlines is available for your perusal in the FPEH Undergraduate Program Office.  Professors may make course revisions for 2008/2009.

It is your responsibility to verify that you have fulfilled all program and degree requirements.  View and confirm that your academic and activity selections are correctly listed on ROSI.

Prerequisites
Students must observe course prerequisites.  Students will be withdrawn from courses for which they have not successfully completed the appropriate prerequisites.  Course instructors do not have the authority to waive course prerequisites.  Course prerequisites are listed in the current FPEH Undergraduate Program Calendar

Leadership Placement PHE350Y/450Y Courses
The enrolment procedures for the PHE350Y & PHE450Y Leadership Placement courses begins in the January before the school term the placement will take place in.  Students who have been approved for PHE350Y and PHE450Y Leadership Placement courses will be automatically entered into the course on ROSI before course registration commences.  Students must select their own practical section on ROSI, refer to the Academic Timetable for tutorial times. Directed Research PHE390Y/490Y/491H Courses
The enrolment procedures for these Directed Research courses begins in late spring.  The deadline for interested students to submit a completed and signed Advisor-Student agreement is September 15th, 2008.  Students intending on enrolling in any of these courses are advised to contact potential faculty advisors as soon as possible.   Each faculty member can accept only a limited number of students.

PHE390Y - Directed Research Outline & Application
PHE490Y - Advanced Research Outline & Application
PHE491H - Independent Study Outline & Application

Students who submit complete applications for PHE390Y/PHE490Y/491H by the deadline will be entered into the course automatically on ROSI with an interim (INT) status.  Once the project is fully approved by the course coordinator, the status will be changed to approved (APP) on ROSI.  Students who do not meet the course prerequisite requirements or whose project is not approved will be assigned refused (REF) status on ROSI.

Course Overload
Students who want to take more than the maximum permissible number of courses (6.0 Academic and/or 2.0 PAC) must complete and submit a Request to Enroll in Course Overload Form.  A GPA of 2.7 or higher is required and there must be valid grounds for your request.  Only if your request has been approved will you be enrolled in excess courses, pending the availability of the course(s).

Extra Courses
If the total number of courses a student takes exceeds the number required for the BPHE degree, the student will need to designate which courses to count towards the degree.  The deadline for a student to designate a course as extra is any time before the drop deadline of the course in question.  If the student does not designate extra courses on their transcript the FPEH Undergraduate Program Office will designate extra courses based on chronology, with the most recent course listed as 'extra'.

Course Conflicts
It is strongly recommended that students not enrol in courses with conflicting meeting times as, in accordance with standard University practice, such students receive no special consideration with respect to tests, examinations or mandatory attendance sessions that conflict, or with respect to information conveyed in classes not attended.

Failure to Drop Courses
Failure to drop a course prior to the deadline outlined in the Academic Calendar will result in the course remaining on the transcript with a mark determined from the work accomplished in the course.

Course Cancellation
The Faculty reserves the right to cancel courses with low enrolment. If you are enrolled in such a course be prepared to choose another alternative and/or to seek assistance in obtaining a replacement course as early as possible.  Where courses are on the “cancellation borderline,” a decision may be made at or after the first class in September and in January.
