We offer:

  • Graduate studies in broad areas of behavioural, biophysical and sociocultural studies.
  • Degree programs predicated on research. All Master and PhD students must complete a research thesis, which is orally defended, and course work (2.5 full course equivalents [FCE] for MSc students and 3.0 FCE for PhD students). In addition, PhD students must successfully complete an oral and written comprehensive examination.

The Faculty is located at the heart of the university's St. George campus. Students enjoy the unequalled advantages of Canada's pre-eminent research university combined with the intimate environment of a graduate department with approximately 50 students and 40 full-time and adjunct faculty. Students within the Faculty also benefit from the University of Toronto's strong commitment to student financial aid through access to our scholarships and bursary program, the largest of its kind in Canada.
