Fees

The tuition fee for graduate programs varies according to the program. The total fee is normally an annual fee covering a full academic year and includes both the academic fees plus incidental/ancillary fees.

Additional Fees Information
Each year fee invoices will be mailed out by the end of July to incoming and returning students. The next batch of invoices will be mailed in late August. If you have not received a fees invoice by August 31st, please contact the graduate department.

It is essential that all students pay their fees by August 31st to allow time for the payment to be processed through the bank and ROSI by the September 15th registration deadline.

Information on fee payment, deferrals, invoices, refunds, late registration, balance of degree fee and fees for combined programs are available from the SGS website.

Fee Deferral
Students may defer their fees if they hold the following:

OSAP or other provincial loan – fees can be deferred at SGS when you present a Notice of Assessment covering at least the minimum first payment.

Full funding package, major award, research stipend or teaching assistantship which covers at least the minimum first payment – fees can be deferred through the Exercise Science department. A completed fee deferral form must be submitted to the department before September 15th, otherwise the fee deferral will not be processed.

US Loans – fees can be deferred at Admissions and Awards, 315 Bloor St. W.

Note: Students who do not pay the minimum first payment, or defer their fees with a major award or OSAP, by September 15th, will be required to pay late registration fees (a late registration fee of $44 plus $5 per additional day to a maximum of $94 will be charged).

The fee refund deadline IS NOT the same as the deadline for withdrawal without academic penalty. Please refer to the University of Toronto Refund Schedule for refund deadlines.
