Application Instructions
- The application deadline is February 1 at 4 p.m. for both the MSc and PhD degree programs in Exercise Sciences.
- No late applications will be accepted and incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Please note that if an application fee is not paid, the application will not be accepted.
- It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure all information and documentation is both correct and complete.
Application Instructions
- Applications for the September 2010 session will be available online November 9, 2009.
- Submit your application to the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) through the secure online admissions application. Read all instructions carefully!
- Pay your application fee. This can be done online or by mailing your payment to SGS. Detailed instructions about payment are on the online application.
It is your responsibility to check the online system frequently to verify that the documents have been received. We will consider your application only after you have entered your personal and academic information in the online application, paid the application fee and mailed all original trascripts to the department.
A Complete Application package includes:- One copy of all official and original post secondary transcripts received directly from the institution in sealed envelopes. University of Toronto students are not required to provide official transcripts for their applications.
- Two letters of reference
- A one to two-page Statement of Intent
- Current curriculum vitae
- Two samples of scholarly writing
- Proof of English Language proficiency (if applicable)
- Funding for International applicants (if applicable)
Special Student (non-degree) program in Exercise Sciences
- Applicants interested in applying as a Speical Student are advised to contact the Graduate Administrator BEFORE submitting an application.
- Applications for the special student program are due August 1 for September courses and November 15 for January courses. Reference letters are not required. Please note that the application deadlines for the special student program are not the same as the deadlines for the undergraduate special student program. If you are interested in the undergraduate special student program, please see the undergraduate website for more details.
A Complete Graduate Special Student Application package includes:
- One copy of all official and original transcripts from all post-secondary insitutions in sealed envelopes
- Brief Statement of Intent stating the reason(s) for application and the courses you intend to take if accepted
